A cop who fatally shot a fleeing black man in the back a week ago in Atlanta, Georgia, will be accused of homicide and assault, officials say.
Garrett Rolfe, who has just been terminated, deals with 11 indictments identified with Rayshard Brooks’ deaths. If convicted, he could face the death penalty.
The other official at the scene, Devin Brosnan, will affirm as an indictment observer for the situation, authorities said.
The case comes in the midst of US dissents over police killings of black Americans.
